There aren't many people I'd drive 600 miles to visit. In the two decades since we'd last seen one another, Cynthia (and her husband) have raised two accomplished children in North Dallas.
We met at Ida Claire's, both marveling about how it seemed as if we were at Columbia only yesterday. We talked so long that we shut down the place.
