When I worked at the September 11 Recovery Program, I organized a 2004 press conference to announce that
$50 million in donations to the Red Cross would be used to fund free 9/11-related health treatment at five New York City institutions, including the FDNY, Mount Sinai and Bellevue. Senator Clinton agreed to attend and make a speech in recognition of the effort.
