There's no denying the beauty of Dale Chihuly's blown glass creations, but $17.50 is a stiff price to pay for what is essentially a gallery show at the Morean Arts Center. It didn't help that the Center disallowed seniors any additional discount!
After all, at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Chihuly glass hangs from the ceiling for free. His marketing strategy favors gamblers over seniors.
Chihuly works in other media, too.
For $500, you can buy a Pendleton blanket in the gift shop woven according to his design.
The center also had a small, temporary exhibit of works by other artists.
