Socrates Sculpture Park

Socrates Sculpture Park doesn't look like much from Roosevelt Island.

Once an illegal industrial dumping ground, it's now a city-sanctioned art park with sculptures representing the kind of people who might live nearby in the nation's largest public housing project.

Artists were at work the afternoon I visited.

The park probably also has the highest concentration of goats in New York City.  Can you spot the one on the waterfront?

This guy had just been knocked from his pedestal.  Go figure.
