Peggy's Cove

Our afternoon just kept getting more picturesque as we detoured to St. Margaret's Bay on our way back to Halifax.

Photo ops at Peggy's Cove delayed our dinner hour but as soon as we glimpsed the iconic lighthouse we didn't care.

Bathed in the late afternoon sunlight and silhouetted against the cloudless sky, my companions (and careful sight-seers) photographed as beautifully as the lighthouse

. . .  and the ring of a rusty anchor embedded in the rocks.

Isn't it amazing how mankind can reduce everything to kitsch?
