Lynette Yiadom-Boakye: Under-Song For A Cipher

Yiadom-Boakye filled an entire floor of the New Museum with portraits of black men and women but it would take hundreds of similar floors to correct the imbalance in Western art.

She works pretty fast though, painting each of them in a day.
