The Emerald City

After the Whitney Biennial, I walked north on the High Line, past the exceptionally fine art crop yield.

The vegetation creates its own art.

Diller Park is progressing nicely to the west.  It looks positively futuristic.  The High Line may soon no longer be the crown jewel of public space mostly funded with private money.

The road may not be yellow brick, but Hudson Yards looms to the north like the Emerald City.

Come to think of it, the Vessel, a staircase to nowhere which draws selfie pilgrims worldwide, recalls the Wizard of Oz, too.

You can drown your disappointment by shopping at the luxury mall.

Or dining at Mercado Little Spain.
