Welcome To Episcopalian Country!

The Mercedes dealer in Mt. Pleasant diagnosed two cracked wheel rims as the cause of a slow air leak.  The pit stop necessitated a change in our painstakingly plotted route but we still arrived in Chester State Park in time for our last leftovers picnic.  Thom's only pretending to be grumpy.

After a couple of hours of make-up time freeway driving, it was pleasant to switch to back roads, including the scenic Cherokee Foothills Scenic highway.  I was too busy mapping GPS points to take pictures of the peach orchards along the way.

Our hotel was within walking distance of the Biltmore Village, a "company town" created to house the people who worked for the Vanderbilt family.

We dined at the Corner Kitchen (without reservations!) where the charcuterie plate was organically fab.

Most of the buildings in the village have been turned into high end boutiques, including this hotel.
