Late To Budapest

Thom and I flew a giant plane packed to the gills from Newark to Frankfurt.  But we arrived too late to make our tight Budapest connection despite a disorganized effort by airline staff.

After giving each of us a seven-euro voucher to spend at the airport, Lufthansa routed us to Munich instead.  We flew over sunny Bavaria but lost much of the day before getting to our final destination.

Our very affordable accommodations in the center of the city (separate rooms cost just a little over $50 each!) were easily accessible by public transportation.

My cozy, clean room even had a view of the Citadel on the Buda side of the Danube.
