Hội An @ Night

Our high end hotel, an upgrade from what had been promised, was a 20-minute walk from the Old Quarter.

Sue, a British member of the Sticky Rice Crew whose son works in the costume department at the Royal Opera, popped out on her balcony while Thom and I were eating a pretty decent pizza and drinking red wine.  I told her she looked like Juliet.

We took a cab back to town to see the hanging lanterns illuminated.

The crazy river lights go dark at 9:30 p.m.  We just made it.

If there was ever any doubt that the city depends on tourism, this Christmas tree eliminated it.
