FLASHBACK: Birthplace (1953)

The Army posted Ken to Fort Bliss in El Paso, a very dusty town in west Texas, the part that points to California.  Here's a replica of the original fort.

Juarez, Mexico is just across the Rio Grande, a typically dry river.

He and Mary lived in military housing at Van Horn Park.

They brought me home in September 1953.
